Lucas's Bio
Lucas has been drawn to the stage from childhood, and has been involved in more than 100 productions as an actor, stage manager, and director. Acting has always been his primary artistic passion, yet he has known for more than twenty years that directing is his vocation. His heart is in the work with actors, telling stories with honesty, artistry, and passion from the heart. In Buffalo, he has directed productions of Painting Churches (2017, O'Connell & Co.), Buffalo Stories (2018 and 2019, RLTP), and Superior Donuts (2019, RLTP). As an actor in Buffalo, he has performed in Love's Labours Lost (Shakespeare in Delaware Park), Angels Fall (New Phoenix), Guns of Christmas (Subversive), and Jitters (Desiderio's Dinner Theater).
The Lightbulb Project has been growing in him as a concept essentially for as long as he has felt the call as a director. It is a place for him and his fellow artists to grow and make mistakes, but always to strive for something greater. Thank you for coming along on that ride.
Lucas is also a member of the Road Less Traveled Ensemble, where, in addition to his directing credits, he has stage managed fifteen productions. He is proud to be but one contributing member of a thriving Buffalo theater scene.
